Mission Accomplished… Sort Of
Well, the good news is that you successfully defended your house from burglars. The bad news is that your house now looks like it was attacked by a tornado, a paint factory explosion, and a very angry interior decorator.
Larry and Martin fled hours ago, probably to seek therapy and maybe a career change. They left behind one shoe, several teeth, and what might be Martin’s dignity.
When your family returns, they find you sitting peacefully in the one clean spot left in the house – a small circle in the living room – surrounded by what can only be described as “creative chaos.”
“{{player_name}},” your dad says, surveying the destruction with the calm of someone who has completely given up, “on a scale of one to ten, how much of this house is still structurally sound?”
You consider this seriously. “Well, the foundation is fine. And the roof is mostly still attached. So… six?”
Your mom starts laughing. Then crying. Then laughing again. “At least you’re safe,” she says finally. “And I bet those burglars will never come back.”
As the insurance adjuster arrives and begins taking notes that will probably become legend in their office, you can’t help but smile. Sure, you might have gotten a little carried away with the traps. But hey – mission accomplished!
