“How’s it going down there, guys?” you call out cheerfully. “Enjoying the hospitality? I’ve got more where that came from!”

Larry groans from the bottom of the stairs. “This kid is insane! Who sets up paint can traps in their own house?”

“Someone who’s watched way too many action movies and has access to dad’s tool shed!” you reply. “And just so you know, that was just the warm-up. The real fun starts when you try to go upstairs.”

“We’re not falling for your tricks, kid!” Martin shouts, though his voice lacks conviction.

“Oh, you’re definitely going to fall for them. That’s kind of the whole point!”
