Portfolio & CV

A Brief History in Time :)

All my life computing and computer programming has fascinated me. Graduating way back in 1997 (Computer Science and Software Engineering), I have worked in the Industry ever since. I have been lucky to have had exposure to a wide range of sectors and technologies.

Beginning initially as a Scientist (their choice of job title, not mine!) working for the UK MoD (satellite communications and then artificial intelligence surrounding battlefield simulation) I progressed working in Banking/Finance, Private Radio Networks, Ethical Hacking and Security, Space Exploration/Image Processing, Defence again (supply chain modelling and monte carlo simulation), Musical Instruments, 3D Computer Games, Web Site Development and SEO, Web Application Development and System Solutions for Small to Medium Businesses.

If you name an operating system – I have probably used it at some point (Linux, Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, MS-DOS, UNIX, PalmOS, more). Languages are a similar affair, from Commodore 64 Basic in the 80s, to ADA, Pascal and 68000 Assembly in the 90s, C/C++ around the millennium years, Java thereafter followed by PHP, Python, Perl, Javascript and several others.

I think that’s roughly it, bit of a concise summary (and somewhat fragmented!), but more details follow below to clarify.

Clients of FlatCoder Ltd.

The work I do/have done for the clients below varies from bespoke Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, Web Site Development (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla), Web Application Development (PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Postgres, etc.) and 3D games/environments. I have tried to indicate, in a general sense, what my involvement was for each client.
